Do you like sewing? Here is a volunteer opportunity for sewing vintage clothing for the Museum. Patterns and fabric are supplied.

Board Members - Volunteer Programs Association (VPA)

The VPA oversees three programs, the Victim Services Unit, the Restorative Justice Program and the Volunteer Centre.

Share your time and expertise as a VPA Board Member. Time Commitment: monthly meetings (second Tuesday of the month) 

Gardening Coordinator - Families First

Do you enjoy gardening? This volunteer opportunity at the Families First Society may be just right for you! There are two gardening opportunities. A volunteer can choose one or both garden opportunities. 

- Indoor Tower Gardens- three tower gardens to maintain the garden and in the fall harvest the vegetables. Training provided

- Outdoor Garden Boxes - existing outdoor gardens to be maintained and harvested in the fall

Furniture Bank

The Furniture Bank is a non-profit group providing gently used donations of furniture and household items to residents in need. Volunteer assistance is needed for pickups and deliveries of furniture and household items, fundraising, helping monitor emails/ Facebook intake and responding to messages (script provided).
